Charlotte Hartley-Jones is a Creative Writing MA, a Canterbury Christ Church University alum. And a clinical psychologist.

She will be discussing her experiences along a twisty publication path so far – from clinical psychology and publishing in journals to a non-fiction book proposal, securing an agent, and not getting a publisher despite promising leads. Then parting ways with said agent and self-publishing. Next she wrote a picture book and was published with a small press; then two novels but was still unable to secure an agent (albeit getting some tantalising full requests along the way).

This event will provide tips for being flexible and riding the highs and the lows, based on psychological theory. And she is there to answer any questions that people might have.
